For the past 35 years, I have owned and restored collectible cars. It seems that I have always had a collectible car close at hand, going back to my father's 1926 Packard and 1955 BMW, and to my own first car, a 1966 Olds 442, which I purchased in 1973.
My first car, a 1966 Olds 442, seen with me in 1980.
My credentials in the collector car hobby include:
  • Collector car appraiser with the Auto Appraisal Group since 1992
  • Member of the Oldsmobile Club of America (OCA) since 1980
  • Organizer of the first Washington, D.C. area OCA chapter
  • Member of the Board of Directors of the Olds Performance Chapter of OCA for 4 years, and its President for two years
  • OCA certified National Judge
  • Member of the Pontiac Oakland Club International (POCI) since 1990
  • Founding member of the Great Salt Lake Chapter of POCI, and its Vice-President for 2 years, and its President from 1999 to 2004
  • POCI certified National Judge
  • Member of the U.S. Camaro Club for 5 years
  • Current member of the Antique Automobile Club of America
  • Member of the American Muscle Car Association
  • Pit crew chief for an SCCA A/Sedan race team
One of my father's hobby cars, this 1955 BMW 501 received much father-and-son TLC.
Because the collector car hobby is my passion as well as my occupation, I enjoy staying informed on a daily basis through the internet, the print media, correspondence and conversations with fellow hobbyists, and attendance at shows, swap meets, and other events all across the country.
Today I maintain a stable of four musclecars, including a 1966 Corvette, a 1969 Cutlass station wagon with factory 4-spd, a 1972 Firebird, and a 1970 Cutlass W-31.
In 1995, my 1972 LeMans Sport won 1st Place in class at the Pontiac Oakland Club International Western Regional meet. It also played a starring role in the 1999 movie Drive Me Crazy.
I am also an avid collector of automotive reference material, including books, magazines, and dealer/factory literature. Over the years my collection has grown into an extensive library, which I now use as a valuable reference when researching particulars for Musclecar Mentor customers.
I look forward to assisting you in this great hobby of ours.
Sincerely,
Owen Griesemer
